Proposed No Waiting Zone
Please note that Somerset Council proposes to implement a No Waiting At Any Time restriction in Hinton St George in the junction outside Our Shop.

The draft Traffic Regulation was published on 28 October 2026 in The Leveller and in The Chard & Ilminster News and is available to view online at www.somerset.gov.uk/TRO (search under South Somerset Amendement No.35). If you are unable to access it, please contact 0300 123 2224.
Any person wishing to make representations or to object to the proposed Order should send a written statement of their representations or objections, stating the grounds on which it is made, to Somerset Council via email to:

Feedback must be submitted by 18th November 2026 (within 21 days of the published date).
A copy of the proposed waiting restriction is attached with the draft Traffic Regulation Order.
This TRO will be discussed at the next Parish Council meeting: Monday, 16th November 2026 at 7:15pm, St George’s Hall. All residents are welcome to attend.
