The Lord Poulett Arms
Elegant 17th Century Inn located in a very peaceful location in one of the most beautiful villages in the West Country. The Lord Poulett Arms has recently won numerous prestigious national awards including “Gastro Pub of the Year” from the Good Hotel Guide, & “National Dining Pub of the Year” in the Good Pub Guide & received superb reviews from every quality newspaper incl 9/10 for food & 9/10 service from The Sunday Times & “Best Sunday Lunch in the West Country” from The Observer. The Inn is furnished with taste & much of the furniture is antique. The quality of the food is the main draw to The Lord Poulett with it winning the Good Pub Guide “Somerset Dining Pub of the Year” in 2009, 2012, 2014 & 2015. The Inn has two gardens; one a French inspired knot garden with Wisteria covered pergola & Boules Piste & the other a typically English wild garden full of mistletoe covered apple tree’s, Hammocks & Love Seats & even a Five’s Wall (the forerunner to squash).

Trading Post Organics Farm Shop and Cafe
The Trading Post are passionate about supplying local people with their own, organic and local produce from the South West. They stock a wide range of products in the farm shop, from home grown organic fruit & veg to local goods including dairy, bakery, preserves, meat, fish, poultry, fairtrade goods and much more…
The Railway Carriage next door has been lovingly restored and opened as a café in 2006. Seating around 22 “passengers” our carriage serves lunches alongside hot and cold beverages, and delicious home-made cakes. With beautiful views of rural Somerset and ample car parking you need never shop anywhere else!

New Farm Restaurant
A visit to New Farm Restaurant, situated in the picture postcard village of Over Stratton in Somerset, is sure to enchant you. Proprietors, Jane and Crispin Bond, have tastefully converted this lovely Hamstone building, originally a working farm run by Jane’s family since the late 1880’s, into a delightful restaurant with rooms.
A unique, relaxing ambience has been created in the restaurant where you can enjoy a delicious meal crafted by Jane using local produce and suppliers. Husband Crispin ably assists and sister Sue is there to meet and greet you whilst ensuring that your stay at the New Farm Restaurant, whether for accommodation, a meal, meeting or private celebration is both enjoyable and memorable.
