Our Shop
‘Our Shop’ has been a community shop owned by the members of Hinton St George and Locality Rural Community Services Limited – HRCS for short – since 2011. HRCS is registered with the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) as a ‘Registered Society’ for the benefit of the Local Community. Each member is a shareholder with a single voting share. Many generous members of our community purchased many shares when we launched a ‘Community Share Offer’ and others have either loaned or donated money either directly or through the Hinton St George Community Fund. Anyone may join for a modest fee – please enquire at the shop. Donations and legacies are always welcome to help secure its future. Please contact the Chairman if you would like to help.
The shop is run by a mixed economy of paid staff and volunteers under the auspices of a management committee. Our Shop is always on the look out for new volunteers and is a wonderful way to become more involved with the village community.
Shop Opening Hours:
Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm
Saturday 8:30am to 4:00pm
Post Office Opening Hours:
Monday to Friday 9:00am to 1:00pm and 2:00pm to 4:30pm
Saturday 9:00am to 1:00pm
Closed Sundays
