Emergency Planning Session – 21 November

The Parish Council is putting together an emergency plan for the village to help us deal with serious events such as fire, extreme utility failures, or other major incidents.  As part of this, we’ll be hosting an Emergency Planning Session at St George’s Hall on Saturday 21st November, 10:30-12:30.

Published: 31 October 2026

We’ll be setting up working groups to discuss how we prepare for risks, coordinating volunteers and critical skills, identifying points of shelter and ensuring that we have a good communication system in place e.g. an emergency cascade system using the existing street WhatsApp groups. We’ll be using the government’s Prepare.campaign.gov.uk (opens in new tab) to guide our session, if you’d like to review this ahead of time. Once the plan is drafted, we’ll ensure that details are communicated to residents, and that the plan is regularly updated.

The session is open for all residents to attend – it would be helpful (but not required) to let us know if you’ll be attending for planning purposes.

If you have any questions or would like any further information, please reach out to Cllr Emma Way or the Clerk. We hope to see you on 21st November.
