Somerset Council have made an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along:
West Street – from 47 metres south-west of the junction with Church Street, southwestwards for a distance of 57 metres;
and Abbey Street – from the junction with West Street, southwards for a distance of 28 metres.
A total distance of 85 metres.
This Order will enable Circet UK to carry out ducting works on behalf of Openreach.
The works are expected to commence on 23rd November 2026 and last until 23rd November 2026 between the hours of 08:00 – 18:00 for a total of 10 hours.
The contractor has indicated that access for Emergency Services through the site is permitted on this occasion.
