Wine Club
Information about the Wine Club
Wine Club is not really a club: there is no official membership or constitution. Membership simply means that you are on our email circulation list.

Wine Club meets around ten times a year. Members volunteer to choose and present the wines, usually five, and the presenters decide what format they would like the evening to take. This certainly involves sipping the wines and having lively conversations!
Eight days before each event we send out an email announcing the event. Any member wishing to attend that event must reply to the email saying so. This is important, as we are fairly often over-subscribed.
We ask members to observe the following understandings:
- 1. Cancellations made after midday of the Wednesday prior to an event will be charged at full ticket price unless we can pass the place on to someone on the waiting list.
- 2. Doors will be opened 15 minutes before announced start time. Attendees are asked not to arrive earlier.
- 3. Non-drinking guests are welcome to attend (at no charge).
- 4. Any member no longer wishing to receive Wine Club emails should please reply requesting removal from the circulation list.
There is a small group of people, called the “Cabal”, which is not a secret conspiracy or intrigue, it is simply the name chosen back in the mists of time for the group of people which runs the Wine non-Club.
